Drawing Jon Snow. Colored Pencil Drawing of kit harington as Jon Snow in the TV Serie Game of Thrones.
The first story arc follows a dynastic conflict among competing claimants for succession to the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms, with other noble families fighting for independence from the throne.
The second covers attempts to reclaim the throne by the exiled last scion of the realm’s deposed ruling dynasty; the third chronicles the threat of the impending winter and the legendary creatures and fierce peoples of the North.
I love this TV Serie I’m really excited for the new season. For this reason I decided to make one or more Game of Thrones Drawings.
I have already drawn Daenerys Targaryen so for the second fan art I choose Jon because I love this character, his voice, his pain and his strength.
The Fur is what I love the most in this drawing. In the show the fur was a gift from his Sister Sansa. She made it with her hands and she was inspired by the one that their father used to wear. I think this fur is the symbol of the growth of Jon that is now a man, the new Lord of Winterfell and the King in the Nord. Since we are talking about noble families, the clothing were made of the best quality materials. In Game of Thrones the costumes are impressive, they describe the character, they tell us their story and who they are. The Jon’s fur is amazing, it is massive and soft, made of many shades of brown and black.
My Drawing Materials:
Prismacolor Colored Pencils: Very soft colored pencils that I use for creating a smoot texture. They are amazing for blending and create the skin softness.
Uni-Ball White Pens: For the details, the lights, the white hair.
The drawing of Jon Snow took me 20 hours.
